    Badd Dog Blues Society performed and yours truly was Stage Manager and helped with planning as well.

    Pat Allies and I are putting together a reunion of sorts from the early days of the Festival to honor Larry’s 80th Birthday.

    Several of the Bands Bill was a part of will be paying tribute to the Big Guy.

    The Rubber Band Reunion will be performing around 8:30.

    Featuring Dalton Davis, John Goodman, Rick Haykin, Caryn Simmons, and Dave Nugent.

    Bands; Brasscadia, Mike Thomas and friends, Les Browning and Barrel Springs Road, K-Kats Raucous Ragtime Review, The Rubber Band, and Whitewing.

    Bill used to come by my home in the Outback Cabins behind Fairhaven College  with his Standup Bass for Jam sessions in the late 70’s. Our friendship was to last for decades, collaborating on many projects including the River Farm Music Festivals and Wild Buffalo. Bill was always ready to lend a hand, especially when Music was involved. This evening pays tribute to him by a small handful of the Musicians Bills Life touched. 

     Donations accepted for Bills Family. 

    Thank-you Ted Mack for instigating and Craig Jewell for providing a space to gather.

    I was Outback Coordinator from 77 till 82. We lived in the Cabins without Electricity or running water.

    We Grew our own food, raised Goats and other Critters and Made lots of our own Music when the day was done.

    Outback still exists today as a big Part of the Fairhaven experience, teaching sustainable, organic gardening among other great things!

    Outback 50 years and still changing Lives!!!

    Badd Dog Blues Society starts the music at 2pm, with Baby Cakes taking the stage at 6pm and dancing into the night with us! Back East BBQ, Sage Against the Machine, and Street Dogz will be the food trucks onsite. We’ll have cider from Bellingham Cider Company. As always, all Stones Throw Block Parties are free to attend, family-friendly, and rain or shine!

    I first met Bill in the late 70’s while I was Director of the Outback Farm at Fairhaven College.

    We collaborated on many, many projects over the years and made a lot of Music together.

    Bill was a very passionate man and was instrumental in helping me and many others to live our dreams. 

    He is greatly missed by Family and Friends.

    The Holiday Festival of the Arts is an indoor and online, 5 week-long festival featuring over 100 artisans from our region. Aside from vendors selling their wares, the festival boasts live music, workshops for children and artists demonstrating their craft.

    The twofold purpose of our festivals is to encourage and support the creation and sale of locally produced fine art and craft while providing an opportunity to connect artists and craftspeople with the general public.

Andy Koch (pronounced “cook”) moved to Bellingham from Seattle in the fall of 1973 to attend Fairhaven College. It was meant to be a temporary move.
His motto now, he says, is “old enough to know better; too late to stop now.”
